Swordsmen, Archers, Pikemen, and Ninja will clash in twenty-four person battles across feudal Japan in Hanako: Honor & Blade. And you’re welcome to join them.
Hanako: Honor & Blade‘s varied classes offer several different ways to take out the enemy. Whether using powerful melee attacks, long range arrows, or sneaky stealth maneuvers, there’s a class to suit your preferred attack style. These attacks are also often affected by your movement direction when you use them, adding some additional variety based on how you’re rushing about.
If fighting online ninja isn’t really your style, the new Early Access version of the game that’s coming on April 5, 2019 will offer a Vs. AI mode. You’re free to tackle bots until you feel your fighting skills are where you want them to be. Or if you just don’t feel like hanging around with internet troublemakers.
Hanako: Honor & Blade‘s struggle is more than just a clash of players online as well. The game was designed as a tribute to a fallen loved one, with its combat used as a metaphor for their loved one’s powerful spirit, and the other the illness that took them.
And if you’re curious about taking part in that battle, you can give it a shot for free over the next few days. Just try not to feel too bad if you end up on the side of cancerous illness.
Hanako: Honor & Blade is playable for free from April 4-7, 2019 on Steam. The game is also in development for PS4 and Xbox One.
