Vive le Roi 2 sees you trying to stop a king from being executed, all while moving under the cover of night.
You are a part of the resistance, trying to make sure that your king doesn’t get killed for his crimes. Doing so is a challenging endeavor, as there are traps, guards, and puzzles in between you and where you need to end up.
In Vive le Roi 2, you are able to draw the path your character will take. This path needs to be done in a specific way. At first, you need only to pay attention to buttons, making sure the path is clear and the gates are up when you pass them, but soon, new and more dangerous traps are in your way. Guards, facing a singular direction will need to be distracted by the noise of TNT, windows will need to be shattered, and paths through arches to new areas will need to be used to make it to the end.
While juggling these things, you will also need to collect all of the crowns dotted around the level, bringing down a bridge at the final part of the game, before making it over to the king. The levels continue to get more challenging, larger, and taller as ladders grow high above the ground to more platforms. You’ll need to act carefully to save the king and keep the revolution alive.
