I love a good cooking game and Ravioli Planet is cozy, a little puzzle-y and has some adorable graphics! In this game, you play as Mamie Ravioli, a grandmother who is traveling the world in her own food truck, which makes nothing but different raviolis.
As you travel around, you can discover different ravioli and dumpling recipes from all over the world, as every culture seems to have it’s own version of stuffed pasta. There are different screens in this game, showing different parts of your food truck.

You are able to move ingredients into various tools, creating the pasta almost free-hand, as there isn’t a sort of guide or puzzle-like element to the game. You could even start and stop making pasta a few times. I had gotten my hands on Ravioli Planet at Gamescom, where the person demoing (which wasn’t the developer) had started playing the game and just gave us – so I was in the middle of a bunch of prepped ingredients without a lot of guidance. Ravioli Planet does have a bunch of scribbled down recipes, which do help you and feel very small-town-recipe-from-grandma.
There is an aspect of management in terms of the Ravioli Planet, where you need to make sure you have enough ingredients for your orders, but there isn’t much demand in terms of customers getting impatient or needing to make money quickly.
I quite like the idea behind Ravioli Planet and look forward to the full release, where I feel I would be able to get more of the traveling the world aspect of the game, see more of a story of a grandmother trying to reconnect with her youth, and enjoy making up a bunch of dumplings!

Ravioli Planet doesn’t have a launch date, but you can keep an eye out on the developer’s website.
