Train Jumble is a puzzle game all about putting together a fantastic travel experience for the people aboard your locomotive.
This colorful game has a focus on predicting what’s needed on a train ride through Europe, arranging things to meet everyone’s needs and making sure you earn as much money as possible. The concept is quite simple. At stops, people get on your train. These people have different needs or requirements which are shown above their heads before they get on, but once they are on you need to make sure you somehow fufil them to the best of your abilities.

You can do this by being prepared. Before the train starts and you let people on, you can purchase items in the shop and arrange the inside of the train. This is a bit of a challenge when it’s full of people, so you do need to make sure you are making good decisions in advance. Your purchases from the shop only last for that entire level (which is made up of all of the stops between the start and the end, although you can pick your routes and some are more challenging to others), so you’ll need to restock every time you start your travels.
Once the train is moving you can start moving people about. Often, when you pick up a person, you can see the color of the seats change, showing if your character, visually, would like those seats or hate those seats. You can then place your character down and see how others react. Some characters want to be near specific types of people, others have requirements like a window seat or being near a crafting table (a normal thing on a train) to make their journey better.

If you make your passengers happy, they will tip you, which is very much needed as each bit of your train journey also cost you fees. This money can also be invested in new equipment for your train, which is useful for making sure more of your passengers are happy. However, you are limited on space so you need to be careful about purchasing and leaving out larger items that might not be used for that stretch of the journey.
Overall, Train Jumble is an interesting puzzle game where you just need to make a lot of decisions and hope for the best. The colorful aesthetic and variety of characters is very fun although I found the placement of everything and all of the different activities for your train to be a little strange!
Train Jumble is currently in development, but in the meanitme, you can grab a demo or add it to your wishlist on Steam.
