Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion tells the adorable story of a young veggie turning his massive tax debt into an adventure that will overturn a greasy government.
I really can’t think of a better way to use your debt, honestly.
Turnip Boy may have kind of, sort of not paid taxes to some sketchy government vegetables for a little while. Unfortunately, he got caught and now owes a ton to these moustachioed criminals officials. And they took his house. Since you’ve got nowhere to live and pretty much nothing better to do, I guess you may as well start combing through dungeons and helping other produce people with their problems in hopes of clearing some of that debt. Do you suppose the dungeon monster will mind if you set up a tent somewhere inside? At least you’re out of the elements that way.
I wasn’t sure what I was expecting in a game about tax evasion, but top-down dungeon crawling and fighting monsters with a shovel was not those things. Still, how else is a turnip going to deal with a bunch of hungry, cranky animals? Well, beside hitting them, you’ll also be able to grow plants that will help you out on your journey as well. I’m just hoping you don’t eat them. That would be a bit too much for my heart to handle in this adorable vegetable world. At least tearing up vital documents makes me feel better, though. And it helps you clear your name. Hard to punish you when there’s no evidence.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion aims to offer a silly, fun adventure filled with pig-slapping action and a little bit of document destruction. Not too many places you can do both these days.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion will be made available today on the Nintendo eShop and Steam.
