I am a fan of hidden object games, especially when it comes to ones that have adorable graphics! Twinkle Seek is a hidden object game that paces itself well, slowly growing as you find the sparkles in your area, with a bit of a ghost and witch vibe to it all.
In Twinkle Seek, you start off finding a bunch of different sparkles in a small area, which, over time, opens up more areas of the world. I found this to be a fantastic change to the hidden object genre, as the initial look at the level doesn’t feel overwhelming at all. There is a counter in the corner which tells you how many sparkles you need to find before more of the world will unlock, but often there is more than enough of these sparkles to go to the next area, so you can go back and collect more. You can also use your ghost friend to find sparkles if you are having trouble locating them.

Sometimes, the sparkles themselves are more hidden as they will be a combination of leaves in a tree or a small outline, or a little bit of grass that has grown together. These changes in the way that these sparkles look add a lot of differences and fun into the game, as I found myself more and more challenged to discover what a sparkle was and what I was looking for.
Twinkle Seek does stay black and white, but there is plenty of details to get lost in! I got to play a demo at Hyper Japan this year, where I found it extremely fun to play with my youngest child Robin, who’s fantastic at hidden object games. Everything feels well designed, polished, and like a fun hidden object game that does well within the genre.
You can currently wishlist Twinkle Seek ahead of it’s release later this year.
