An innocent human child needs saving in the mortal world, but it’s hard to help with that when you’re a demon living in a pit of evil in Abyxsis – The Demon Reborn.
As a well-meaning demon in Hell, you need to work your way through the punished souls, cruel creatures, and hostile demons that inhabit the world in order to make your way to the surface and help the child in need. Luckily, you can breathe fire, glide, double jump, and cling to walls, so you’ll make for a highly mobile threat against anything that gets in your way (getting some powerful Gargoyle’s Quest II vibes, here).
Hell is a sprawling place in Abyxsis – The Demon Reborn. The many places of punishment twist and turn around one another, giving you many places to explore in this hellish Metroidvania. Each offers a comedic look at the horrors of the underworld as well, aiming to give a lighthearted look at an eternity of punishment.
Abyxsis – The Demon Reborn looks to offer a gloomy, but funny Hell, some solid combat, as well as some thoughts on self-forgiveness and imprisonment while you’re here.
