Future? No Thanks! is a hilarious story-driven open world adventure game where you have aged, to an old, maybe slightly sexist man who is surrounded by the advancements of society. And instead of embracing the future, you have decided it’s best for you just to die. As a result, it is your last day on Earth, but the doctors who will be performing your end of life care want you to go out into the world and do a few tasks to make sure you have done everything you could possibly want to do before you die.
Some of these tasks, which you have defined, are things like ‘get into a fight’ which is absolutely wild for an elder grandfather to be doing. You do have a strange robot dog to help you, and a wheelchair that’s rocket powered, but at the end of the day you are still just a grumpy man who doesn’t fit into the way the world currently is.

Future? No Thanks! has a lot of fantastic voice acted characters, each with their own take on the world and guiding information to help you out.
There is a lot of the town to explore through, a lot of little side quests and conversations that feel like they might change your mind, and a lot of silly moments that just feel like they are grounded only through humor! I found myself playing some of Future? No Thanks! at Gamescom, compelled by the story, wanting to solve this list before this old, grumpy man kicked the bucket.

As the game isn’t linear, you can explore the world openly and follow whichever of the tasks you want to complete in your own time, which only adds to the fun of it all. It’s just a great story and interesting game with plenty of silly moments!
You can purchase Future? No Thanks! now on Steam.
