Scary Tales Vol. 1 collects a handful of Puppet Combo‘s unsettling horror games in a single terrifying package, offering varied experiences in the macabre.
You get a lot out of this package of four games. The Riverside Incident will have you delving into an array of discovered VHS tapes that contain some disturbing material. Meanwhile, Spiders plays out like a retro FPS where you’re tackling monstrous arachnids with bullets. If that sounds too hectic, you can always work the late shift at a convenience store in Night Shift. Nothing weird ever happens on the night shift, right?
If playing the part of the villain is more your speed, Feed Me Billy will let you become a menace, stalking the city and bringing your victims back to hurl into a giant maw in your house. Personally, I would have boarded it up or something, but I guess some folks like to feed the gaping mouths that form within their living quarters. I can’t even imagine the smell.
Each experience is unique, offering the sharp, chilling work that Puppet Combo is known for. Whether you want atmospheric stuff, or to just have blood and guts splashing everywhere, it’s a solid collection of horror delights.
